Behind Enemy Lines: "Ron Gone"

Built up as a 'Statement Game' by the Dallas and national media. Big 'D' is a little deflated by the loss to the other Big 'D'. While the future is still bright for the Cowboys you can read their excuses for losing (Billy Cundiff, being one of them) in the Dallas Morning News.

Day of Thunder

Late activation Ron Dayne filled in nicely for Home Run back Tatum Bell. Ron 'Thunder' Dayne was the lightning that sparked a 24-21 overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys with a 55 yard run on the overtime's opening series. The win was a Thanksgiving treat for the Broncos whose day was filled with an uncharacteristic amount of turnovers and penalties. Champ Bailey played excellent also, returning a Drew Bledsoe interception for a touchdown in the first quarter.

Behind Enemy Lines: Over and Out (or Down and Done, take your pick)

AP Photo
Oakland is the largest city in the country without its own newspaper. So for us to twisted Bronco fans who want to read the other perspective on a big division win. We have to go across the bay to San Francisco. It's still fun to read the eulogys of the team giving life to the phrase "Commitment to Mediocrity"

Oaktown Beatdown

Once again, the Broncos jumped out to an early lead. Once again, the Broncos almost let their opponent back in the game. Once again, a rookie defensive back made a play that stopped a comeback and put a dagger in the opponent. Once again, the Broncos walk out of Oakland with a win. And Once again, for the 16th time in 21 games, Mike Shanahan has a smile on his former employer.

Domonique Blogworth?

Rookie Cornerback and favorite of "The Horsehead" Domonique Foxworth in only his first year knows what we all know: That while the first half of the 2005 season has been nice, there is still much to do, tough places to do it and some areas of improvement for this Bronco club.

Broncos Sign New Linebacker

In an effort to bolster a suspect run defense, the Denver Broncos have signed legendary CFL linebacker "Hollywood" Haskins. How Hollywood will be able to handle the tough running backs in the AFC remains to be seen, but rest assured his sack dance is ready to go, brother.

is This Out of the quesTiOn?

"Owens might never see $6 million in a season again but he will see the playing field. Where? Don't bet on the usual suspects; teams that have rolled the dice in the past on players regarded as character risks such as Oakland, Washington, and Tampa Bay. Think more along the lines of Denver, Miami and New Orleans." -Len Pasquarelli, ESPN.com

T.O. is the NFL's version of Laguna Beach's Jason. Everyone in Laguna Beach knows that he is trouble and is going to hurt you in the end, yet he never has a shortage of girls (in this case teams) thinking they can change him and prosper. This is only a murmur but one would have to think if Terrell Owens could or could not succeed here.

Nothing must be fina...than Carolina Vagina

This has nothing to do with the Broncos but quite frankly, who cares? Two Carolina Panthers Cheerleaders are charged with battery, disorderly conduct, and obstruction of justice after a fight between the two women and and a woman waiting to use a bathroom stall they were having sex in at Banana Joe's Nightclub in Tampa. If this incident is copied by any two Broncos cheerleaders at Baja's, we will report it here first at The Horsehead.

Ohh....We're Halfway There!!!.....

This year, the bye week falls conveniently on Week 9, separating the season in half. The Horsehead will have its own Mid-Season Report Cards starting Thursday, but the pundits of the Denver media have already chimed in with their thoughts.

Breaking the Walls

The Denver Post is reporting that the Broncos will release former starting Cornerback Lenny Walls. Walls, who was beaten out for the job by Rookie Darrent Williams was placed on Injured Reserve after suffering a groan injury during the loss to the New York Giants. The decision allows Walls who should be ready to play in two weeks to play again in 2005. He should have no problem finding work with the New England Patriots or any other team looking for Secondary help.
